- Exabyte Mammoth Firmware and Exabyte SCSI patches, see
devices/exabyte.htm.
- Note that the Mylex DAC960 SCSI Controller is not supported under
UNIX MP-RAS 3.00.01. It is supported in NT and in UNIX MP-RAS 3.00.02 or
greater.
- Note that IBM Quad Ethernet adapters must have driver version 1.05 or
greater to work on the Secondary Microchannel Bus with UNIX MP-RAS.
36DR17582 (10-JUN-96) releases part 006-3301500 to say: New driver
version 1.05 enables Quad Ethernet to work in Secondary Microchannel Adapter
backplane and makes fixes documented in 006-3301501 Transmittal document.
- Symptom: On an MPP system (5100M, 3600), which does not support
the 8-16 MB range for MCA adapters, RAM conflicts are generated when a full
MCA configuration is attempted.
Cause: The IBM Quad PeerMaster only supports windows in the 8-16MB and
2-3GB ranges. Other MCA boards want to reside in the 3-4GB range.
Action: If the system has less than 2GB of memory, move the PeerMaster
to the Secondary MCA bus. If the system has more than 2GB of memory, use
a different LAN card.
